Am I Eligible?
Low-income*, minority** students who are California residents and will be enrolled full time at a 4-year institution in Fall 2013 are eligible to apply. This scholarship may only be used for undergraduate level studies.

- Single Parent Scholarship Application and Essay
- Cover Letter
- Professional Resume
- Official High School and/or College Transcript
- Financial Aid Web-Award Confirmation
- Letter of Recommendation (Minimum one letter from a teacher, supervisor, or equivalent)

Essay Topic
In 1,000 words or less, explain why you should be selected as a recipient of our George Geng On Lee – Minorities in Leadership Scholarship. Draw upon your academic, professional, volunteer and personal experiences to demonstrate how you have overcome the challenges of being a minority. Describe how you exemplify a minority in a leadership role. In addition, state how your career goals and future aspirations will contribute to your growth as a leader in your community.

Draw upon your academic, professional, volunteer and personal experiences to demonstrate how you have overcome the challenges of being a single parent. Describe how you are a leader in your community. In addition, state how your career goals and future aspirations will contribute to your continued growth as a leader in your community.
