George Geng On Lee - Minorities in Leadership Scholarship 2009
Three (3) $1,000 Scholarships available this year
Am I Eligible? Minority* students graduating from high school, or who are full time
undergraduate students enrolled at a 4 year institution are eligible to
apply. There is no application fee.
What Should I Send?
Applicants are required to submit the following items: Minorities in Leadership Scholarship Application, Cover Letter, Professional Resume, Official High School and/or College Transcript, Financial Aid Web-Award Confirmation, Minorities in Leadership Essay (1000 words or less), and Letter of Recommendation (Minimum one letter from a teacher, supervisor, or equivalent).
In 1,000 words or less, please explain why you should be selected as a recipient of our George Geng On Lee – Minorities in Leadership Scholarship. Use your experiences within school, work, and home to display the challenges you faced as a minority and show how you overcame adversity to exemplify a minority in a leadership role. In addition, please state how your career goals and future aspirations will build you as a future minority leader.
(*) Minority is defined as a group differing from the majority population. This includes but is not limited to ethnicity, gender, religion, etc.
Single Parent Scholarship 2008 One (1) $1,000 Scholarship available this year Deadline: July 1, 2009
Am I Eligible? Single California resident parents who are graduating from high school, or who are full time undergraduate students enrolled at a 2 or 4 year institution are eligible to apply. There is no application fee.
