FUNDRAISING SISTERHOOD BASH FOR CAPTURE THE DREAM, INC.

Davis, Calif. - Sigma Omicron Pi, Delta Chapter, donated $1,000 from its fundraising annual rush party proceeds to Capture the Dream, Inc. at Cantina Del Cabo on February 27, 2007.

The event was attended by around 150 UC Davis students, including female students interested in joining the sorority.

The sorority chose Capture the Dream, Inc. because their main charity focus, education, went in line with the Capture the Dream, Inc.'s mission and values. Also, they wanted to help the starting organization grow. "I felt very thankful," said Janine Lee, CEO of Capture the Dream, Inc., "and I will be specifically saving this donation towards our future planned afterschool programs in Oakland."

Lee wrote a formal thank you letter to Sigma Omicron Pi sorority and to the owner of Cantina Del Cabo who allowed the sorority to host the fundraising event. Capture the Dream, Inc. also included the sorority into its online special thanks section as a donating organization.

Lee said, "The girls exemplified leadership skills in organizing the event & in planning and coordinating the event."
